Andrew Howlett formed Louth Education Community Interest Company in 2012 Specifically to purchase and run Louth Town Hall. East Lindsey District Council were Looking to dispose of the asset as they couldn’t afford the upkeep. Clear that the Town Hall was an asset that the community of Louth could not lose, Andrew Produced an action plan for the Town Hall that would restore it as the centre of The town. The freehold was transferred in October 2012 and, since then, the Town Hall has gone From strength to strength. The weekly programme now includes Art, Pottery and Keep fit courses, Line Dancing and a weekly cafe. The Town Hall is the base for Andrew Howlett Education courses and the home of The Legends Simulator. With ELDC and Lincolnshire as tenants, the Town Hall is also home to the Entertaining Activities Lincs Ltd Day Centre for Adults with additional needs, The Louth Male Voice Choir, The Louth and District Fuchsia Club and has recently become a delivery centre for WEA Adult Education Courses. The Town Hall offers a full entertainment programme - LTH Live! The Acts now being Attracted to Louth include ASWAD, Dr John Cooper Clarke and Heather Small amongst many more.
